Harold Lynn Moore – 97 of Maynardville, went to be with the Lord November 24, 2024. He was the oldest son of Vaughn and Edith (Ailor) Moore. Harold was a graduate of Horace Maynard High School and The University of Tennessee and a U. S. Navy Veteran. He retired in 2000 as Vice President of First State Bank. Harold loved his country, his family and The Vols!

He is preceded in death by son, Gregory Lynn Moore; parents, Vaughn and Edith Moore; brother, Owen Moore; sister, Doris Walton, and niece, Marilyn Shoffner. Harold is survived by his wife of 50 years, Luz Moore; daughter, Maria Moore (who he taught how not to be afraid of insects by making her hold them!); grandchildren, Melanie (Matt) Parrott, Samantha (Doug) Miller and Michael (Megan) Moore; great grandchildren, Tallulah, Matthew, Jr., and Lillian Parrott, Kayeleigh, Tyler, Olivia, Macaela and Josiah Miller and Adalynn, Waverly and Maesy Moore; nieces, Jean (Mike) McGowan, Myra (David) Hall, Jill (Tom) Gilbertson, Julia (Brian) Tobler, and Dionne (Keith) Nease and their families.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating in memory of Harold to Christ United Methodist Church, 7535 Maynardville Hwy., Knoxville, TN 37938.
