Gracie L. (Nicely) Chesney-age 89 of Washburn passed away Friday morning, July 2, 2021 at Ridgeview Terrace in Rutledge. She was a member of Nave Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, David Chesney; parents, Barton and Lizzie (Bailey) Nicely; sisters, Beatrice Nicely, Trula Nicely and Mary Nicely.

Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Karen Chesney; two grandchildren, Brad Chesney and Chad Chesney; two great-grandchildren, Solomon Chesney and Nola Chesney. A host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 2-5 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary. Graveside service and interment 11 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2021 at Union Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Maynardville with Rev. Jerry Epperson officiating with music by Jerry and Carolyn Epperson. Family and friends may meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. Monday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Leonard Nicely, Elmer Nicely, Chad Chesney, Gene Nicely, Richie Chesney, Eric Nicely, Terry Bailey. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
