Frank William Thomas, Jr.
Frank William Thomas, Jr.-age 61 of Kodak, Tennessee passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 at his home after a brave battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Willie and Mary Tharp and Charles and Marion Thomas, all from Maynardville. Mother-in-law, Louise Talley and sister-in-law, Betty McKinney. Several beloved aunts and uncles.
Survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Theresa Thomas, son, Jay Claiborne and wife, Melissa, grandsons, Caleb Claiborne and wife, Christian, Noah Claiborne. Granddaughters; Kylie Claiborne and Aubrey Claiborne (Papaw Bill's partner in crime) all from Carrollton, Georgia; Grandson, Ethan Claiborne (Gould) of California. Mother, Doris Lewis of Maynardville. Sister, Rita Wyrick and nephews, Chris Wyrick and wife, Misty, Aaron Wyrick and wife, Kim, all of Maynardville. Several great and great-great nephews and nieces. Father, Frank Thomas, Sr.
Beloved best friend, Wayne Barkman and wife, Kim.
And his sidekick, his dog Suzie.
Bill deeply loved all of his family and friends and was loved by everyone that knew him. He enjoyed helping others, working on his farm and taking care of his many animals.
Family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Maynardville with the funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Reverend Jason Merrell of Carrollton, Georgia officiating. Interment will follow at Beeler Cemetery on Hickory Valley Road, Maynardville. Pallbearers: Jay Claiborne, Caleb Claiborne, Noah Claiborne, Wayne Barkman, Chris Wyrick and Aaron Wyrick.
