Throughout his life he had many other achievements, some of which are he was instrumental with implementing a union for the teachers of Airport High School, was Treasurer for many years at the Teachers Credit Union, and was an Ombudsman for Senior nursing homes in Tennessee.
He will be sadly missed by three daughters, Tanya (Miller) Vanderpool, Shawn (Miller) Greathouse and Kelly (Miller) Damzyn, all of Monroe, Michigan and two sons, Everett S. Miller of Monroe and Kevin S. Miller of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Shane Blessing, Jessie Vanderpool, Kasie Miller, Kyle Miller, Cori Miller, Ben Miller, Steven Fallon, and Andy Gonzales.
