Maynardville, TN - Emily Q Link, 86, went to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
Born January 04, 1938 in Spartanburg, SC, Ms Link the daughter of the late Clyde W. Quinn and Janie Maude Lee Quinn. She graduated from Spartanburg High School and was a member of First Baptist Church Of Maynardville. Emily Link was co-founder and charter member of the Union County Business & Professional Association in 1990. She served as president, chairman of the board, and board member for many years. She was the person who saw a need for a park in the community. It was her vision, leadership, and unflagging drive that brought about the founding and development of Wilson Park in the heart of Maynardville, In 2023 the gazebo in Wilson Park was formally named the Emily Link Gazebo in honor of her contribution. In 2022 the Union County Business & Professional Association recognized Emily with a Lifetime Achievement Award. She was also a very successful Interior Designer.

Ms Link is survived by her daughter Celeste Giordano (Mike) of Lawrenceville, Ga and Michele Beeler of Knoxville, TN, and son Mike Powell of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Johnson of Johnson City, TN, Jason Beeler of Knoxville, TN, Daniele Beeler of Knoxville, TN and Nicole Powell of Knoxville, TN; great grandchildren, Makenzie Grooms, Johnson City, TN, Katelyn Johnson, Knoxville, TN, Kami Johnson, Johnson City, TN, Kirby Johnson, Johnson City, TN, Kyleigh Beeler, Braden Beeler, Braxton Beeler, Raelynn Beeler, Avianna Beeler all from Knoxville, TN and a sister Betty Q Hamrick of Pauline, SC, a special niece Malissa Guy and many loving cousins and great nieces and nephews.
Ms Link was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a friend to many and was always ready to listen and help friends and family in their time of need. Ms Link was especially grateful for Alder Springs Missionary Baptist Church her close friends especially Jill Beason and all the wonderful servant leaders of caregivers. Especially Pat Neiman, Angie Brock Haynes, Ashely Massengill, Debbie Massengile, Sheila Cox and Wanda Cole.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
