Dusty Sexton
Joshua Dustin (Dusty) Sexton, age 34, of Maynardville passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022. He was born on October 14, 1987. Dusty is preceded in death by his mother, Janice Sexton and grandparents. Dusty is survived by his father, Jerry Sexton and step-mom, Brenda Sexton; his children, Aubree and Konnor Sexton; his siblings, Toni (Tim) Brown, Chris (Kayla) Sexton, Gina (John) Hale, Jennifer (Jeremy) Brake and his nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Union County High School. He had worked as a carpenter and HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic. He was married to Brittni Collins Sexton of Maynardville and have two precious children, Aubree and Konnor Sexton. Dusty loved his children dearly. Dusty loved working on things. He enjoyed carpentry and being outdoors. Dusty also had a love for music and reading about history and archeology. He had many friends and a contagious smile. He was often joking around and always trying to make others laugh. Dusty was saved at a young age at Pennington Chapel Baptist Church in Washburn and was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Maynardville.
Receiving friends and family is scheduled Tuesday, January 11, 2022 5pm-7pm, service following at 7 pm Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Joe Nicely, Rev. Joey McBee officiating. Family and friends will meet at Cooke’s 10:30 am Wednesday, January 12, 2022 to proceed to Tolliver Cemetery, Maynardville for a 11 am graveside service. Pallbearers: John Hale, Camren Collins, Tim Brown, Terry Muncey, Chris Sexton, Maison Scates. Honorary Pallbearer: Jackie Housewright.
