Dorothy Jane Beason-age 87 of Maynardville passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at her home with her daughter by her side. She was a member of Milan Baptist church and retired from the Standard Knitting Mill. Preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Andrew and Nellie Flossie (Weaver) Miller; husband of 61 years, Hamilton Devine “H.D.” Beason; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee (Polly), Delone (Georgia), Chalmer (Maxine) Miller; sisters and brothers-in-law, Velma (Claude) Hankins and Evelyn (Paul) Holloway and several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa (Jeff) Clapp; grandson, Todd Looney; special niece and nephew, Brenda and Larry Lay.

The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice for all their help and loving care. A heartfelt thank you to her caregiver Linda Greene for her loving care of Dorothy.

The family will receive friends 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday, March 8, 2025, with funeral to follow at 1 PM at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel Rev. Jody Winstead officiating. Interment will follow at Union Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers Larry, Glenn, Lance and E.J. Lay, Gene Webb, Todd Looney. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
