Dewey Charles Idol-age 67 of Rutledge, born July 27, 1952 passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at his home. He was a retired employee of Travis Meats with 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clair and Ruby (Brock) Idol; his wife, Minnie B. Idol.

He is survived by daughters, Paula Idol, Sherry Liford and her husband, J. C. Liford; brother, Carl Duane Idol and wife, Amy Idol; sister, Brenda Thompson and husband, Danny Thompson. A few nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

The body may be viewed 12 Noon till 5 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Cooke-Campbell Mortuary. Family and friends will meet 12:45 P.M. Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Clapp Cemetery, Washburn for graveside service and interment, Rev. Gabril Haynes officiating. Pallbearers: Danny Thomson, David Thompson, J. C. Liford, Tom Wisniewski, Tim Baker and Audie Faulkner. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
