Derana Kay Lynn- 47 of Rutledge, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 31, 2023. She was of the Christian faith. Derana was a daddy’s girl and enjoyed going fishing and hunting with him. She had a great love for animals and always had a puppy as a pet. Derana was friendly, had a sarcastic sense of humor, and was blunt and didn’t sugarcoat how she felt about anything. Despite the distance and their differences, she loved her children and family very much. She attended South College in Knoxville, where she earned her A.A.S. degree in accounting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen Kitts and James Lynn, Jr., both of Morristown. Derana is survived by her son, Scott (Samantha) Smith; daughter, Rachel Hall; sister, Angela Lynn; brother, Andrew Eddie Hutchison and fiancée Bri Hain; nieces and nephews, Joseph, Tessa, Philip, Jordan, Zaylen, Brayden and Liam; five great nieces and nephews; aunt Betty Walton of Maynardville; and several cousins.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service with a small reception 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Ailor Dale Baptist Church, 351 Beard Valley Rd., Maynardville with Reverend Daniel Corum officiating and eulogy by Angela Lynn.
