Dale Cole

Woodrow Dale Cole-age 76 of Maynardville passed away Monday morning, November 1, 2021 at his home. He was saved at an early age and was of the Baptist faith. Dale was a retired employee of the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation. Preceded in death by parents, Clayton and Flossie (Johnson) Cole; wife, Vontella Cole; step-daughter, Barbara Baker; step-son Keith Baker.

Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Debbie Cole of Maynardville; Step-son, Terry and Tammy Baker, Westminster, Maryland; daughters, Marie Kirkland of Sharps Chapel; Linda Berrier of Woodbury; step-daughters, Peggy and Mark Adcock of Clinton; Kim Baker of Maynardville. Special granddaughters, Michelle Brooks, Stephanie Sills and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sisters, Shirley and Truman Sweet of Knoxville; Lucille and Roger Day of Rutledge; Half-sister, Patsy and Farron Tolliver of Maynardville. Special friend, Brenda Webb and her family. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2021 with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating with music by Wayne Cole and the Union Church Singers. Interment 1 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 at Cole Cemetery, New Tazewell. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 12 p.m. Friday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Junior Keck, Michael Sills, Brian Brooks, Riley Cole, Blake Malone, Rodney Malone, Gene Nicley, Chris Baker, Dakota Baker, Leonard Nicely. Honorary Pallbearers: The early morning coffee gang at Bookers Market #2, Paul Hill, Freddie Simmons, Gerald Simmons, Kyle Richardson, Mike Kitts, BeaBub Munsey and also, Billy Smith.
