Daisy P. Johnson-age 88 of Washburn passed away peacefully Thursday, March 30, 2023 at her home. She was a member of Dutch Valley Baptist Church, Washburn. Preceded in death by husband, Hugh Johnson; special friend, Charles Williams; parents, Bill (Poppy) and Annie (Mommy) Clay; brothers, Harry, Jeff, Paul, Jim, Willie, Easton and Earl Clay; sisters; Annie Crawford, Della Mae Nicley, Lillus Clay, Lorene Clay and Virgie Larmer.

Survivors: brother, Verlin (Sheriff) and Geneva Clay; sisters, Dorena (Earl) Nicley, Ilene (Tom) Ryburn. Caregiver and niece, Beverly Lovell. A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, Great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2023 with the funeral service to follow 7 p.m. Sunday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jimmy Frye, Rev. Josh Booker officiating. Music by Rev. Richard and Linda Nicley. Interment 11 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2023, Fairview Cemetery on Tater Valley Road, Washburn. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by at 10 a.m. Monday to go with the procession. Pallbearers: Jamie Williams, Tom Lovell, Jacob Nicley, Cody Davis, Josh Booker, Gary Nicley.
