Connie Buckner
Connie Buckner – age 84 of Maynardville, entered her Heavenly Home early Friday morning on June 30, 2023. Connie was a member of First Baptist Church of Maynardville for more than 60 years and especially loved her Sunday School Class – the Marilyn Class. After high school Connie graduated from Cooper Institute of Business and served as a secretary then went on to work in banking for fifteen years. She opened her own business in 1982, a women’s clothing store called Connie’s Boutique where she made many special friends. Connie had a great smile and was a friend to all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by parents, Geraldine and Jack Warwick; Connie is survived by husband, Raymond H. Buckner; her four children, Cathy (Wes) Needham of Knoxville, Andy Buckner, of Maynardville, Chris Buckner of Jackson Heights, New York and Brent (Ashley) Buckner; her adored grandchildren, Trey Jenkins, Chase Buckner, Bryce Buckner, Lexie Needham, Briley Buckner, Braxton Buckner, Ava Buckner and Ashlyn Buckner; and special great granddaughter, Arianna Jenkins. A special thank you to Dr. Chinta, UT Hospital and Sacred Ground Hospice, Lexie Needham, and other caregivers during her sickness.
The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 2, 2023 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Gary Beeler and Reverend Corey Carroll officiating with music by Heather Stratton and David Myers. Family and friends will meet Monday, July 3, 2023 at Trinity 10:15 a.m. to proceed to Pleasant View Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Chase Buckner, Bryce Buckner, Braxton Buckner, Ray Bowman, Walter Seymour, Kelvin Nease; honorary pallbearers, Dennis Johnson, Jim Steiner and David Mynatt.
