Clayton L. Bailey-age 70 of Washburn passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by parents, Edd and Daisy Bailey; sisters, Cleo Smith, Linda Bailey; brothers, Vick, James, Carson and Doyle Wayne Bailey.
Survivors: wife of 47 years, Sharon Munsey Bailey; son, Clayton L. Bailey, Jr. of Washburn; brother, Danny Bailey of Washburn; sisters, Mary Lee Coffman, June Graves, Sally Jordon, Benda Helton, Ollie Belle Beeler all of Washburn; Shirley Sliger of Mascot; Martha (Syil) Jones of Bean Station, Carolyn Helton of Georgia. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2023, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
Funeral services 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Gabril Haynes and Gary Staley officiating with music by Rev. Richard and Linda Nicley. Interment to follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Washburn. Pallbearers: Joe Wayne Bailey, Stacy Bailey, Chris Bailey, Steve Bailey, J, C, Lifford, Jackie Munsey. Honorary Pallbearers: Jaxon Stallings, Carson, Hunter, Joeden, Barrett Bailey, Justin Bailey.
