Christy Nicley-age 51 of Maynardville passed away peacefully Thursday, December 5, 2024 at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maynardville. She was a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, class of 1993. Christy loved all of her church family. Preceded in death by her father, James “Pete” Nicley; mother, Bernice Nicley; granny, Margie Nicley, uncle, Buddy Bailey; cousins, Tim Bailey, Buddy “Buster” Bailey; great nephew, Layne Nicley.

She is survived by her brothers, Dennis Nicley, Kennie (Cindy) Nicley; nephew, Brandon Nicley; nieces, Stochia (Adam) Bailey, Kayla (Josh) Bucker; nephews, Cole and Austin Nicley, Ethan McKnight; many great nieces and nephews; special cousin, Martha Savage and many other cousins; special friend, Sarah Leedy; special God son, Brent Pollard.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024, with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Corey Carroll and Rev. Bob Zavattieri officiating with music by First Baptist Church Singers. Interment 11 a.m. Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Community Cemetery, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Sunday here at the funeral home to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Tony Bailey, Cole Nicley, Austin Nicley, Justin Bailey, Josh Buckner, Adam Bailey. Honorary Pallbearers: Joey Bailey, Josh “Tater” Bailey, Jacob Bailey, Ethan McKnight.
