Charles Parsley

Charles Parsley – age 83 of Luttrell, passed away on March 26, 2023 at home. He was a member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church and we know he is with the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all. Everyone who met him loved him. Charles was hardworking, loving and had a heart of gold. Charles was a veteran of the U S Navy acting as a Seabees from 1954 – 1958. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His passion was farming. Charles also retired from White Lily Flour where he was known as “Hoss”.

He is preceded in death by P. B. and Lena (Atkins) Parsley; sister, Sarah Clymer; brothers, Ronnie Parsley and Edgar Parsley; and best friend, Curtis Coldwell. Charles is survived by wife, Patsy Parsley; son, Richard (Sheila) Parsley; daughters, Carla (Richard) Cross, Krystal (Brent) Turnmire and Leann Sexton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special granddaughter Kady Maples; he enjoyed Sunday visits with great grandchildren, Kennedy and Karaline Maples; great granddaughters, Mayson Douglas and Skye Sexton who were his little rays of sunshine that kept him smiling; sisters, Faye Parsley, Sandra Wheeler, Judy (Bill) Williams; and childhood friend, Elwood Keck. A big thank you and God Bless to Jason Purkey and Larry Williams for being so helpful while Charlie was sick.

The family will receive friends, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Stewart Skeen and Reverend Ray Headrick officiating. Family and friends will meet at Trinity 9:45 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2023 to proceed to Dyer Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Trinity Funeral Home, Maynardville, has the honor to serve the family of Charlie Parsley.
