Betty Ruth (Carmon) Williams-age 76 of Maynardville passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Betty was a member of Nave Hill Baptist Church and was an employee of McDonalds, Maynardville. Preceded in death by husband, Paul Williams; parents, Thurman and Hester Carmon; brother, Ed Carmon, Glen Carmon; sisters, Ina Carmon, Louella Carmon.

She is survived by special daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and James Johnson, Jr.; special grandchildren, Lindsey Johnson, James Johnson, III, Bryson Johnson, Adeline Johnson; sisters, Marie Johnson, Mary Campbell and several other special family and friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023, with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Joe Nicely officiating with music by Jessica, David and Justin Johnson. Interment 11 a.m. Sunday, Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Sunday to go with the procession. Pallbearers: James Johnson, Jr., Timmy Williams, Hunter Williams, Kenny Johnson, Andrew Anderson, Jeff McGinnis. Honorary Pallbearers: James Johnson III, Bryson Johnson.
