Amanda "Mandy" Rose Morrow
Amanda “Mandy” Rose Morrow-age 27 of Washburn, born October 23, 1997, in Knoxville, Tennessee to Thomas and Lisa Morrow, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 5, 2025 from complications of pneumonia at her home. Mandy was born with spina bifida. She had 40 surgeries in her short life and endured severe pain every day of her life from the age of 16. Praise God! She’s free of pain and running and dancing in Heaven! Mandy was saved and baptized in her youth and was a graduate of Union County High School, Class of 2016. She loved to preach to others about knowing Jesus to get to Heaven. She was a sassy and witty girl-such a precious soul.
Meeting Mandy in Heaven are her loving grandparents, Freddie Edward Ellis “Papa” and Anne Lynette Hardy Ellis “Nana”; grandfather, Thomas Wayne Morrow; great grandmothers, Thelma Louise Griffin Ellis and Bessie Mae Linger Hardy; aunt, Raquel Rodriguez Morrow; cousin, Travis McKee; best friend, Sierra Leigh Huiting and a host of other relatives.
Left to cherish her memories are her parents, Thomas “Tom” Allen Morrow and Lisa Anne Ellis Morrow; brother, Daniel “Danny” Thomas Morrow; uncle and aunt, Michael “Mike” Ellis (Wendy), Timothy “Tim” Morrow; aunts, Tammy Morrow Vigil (Adrian), Trina Morrow (Brendan); cousins, Sara Hartman, T.J. McKee, Jetta Vigil, Julian Morrow; she will also be missed by her dear great aunt Mary; aunt, Janet; cousins, Tania and Anthony, Becci and Steve as well as other relatives.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025, with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Pastor Michael Darden officiating. Interment 2 PM Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Thursday at 1 PM to go with the funeral procession.
