Mildred Dyer
Mildred Louise Dalton Dyer passed away at the age of 95 surrounded by her family. Some dear people called her Snook or Midge, but her favorite titles were “Mom” and “Mammaw”. Born March 18, 1928, and passed away October 21, 2023. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved gardening, her embroidery, and quilt work, and she especially enjoyed cooking for her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. RJ and Zola Dalton; loving husband of 63 years, Carnes Glynn Dyer Sr.; Son, Robert (Bob) Dyer; Daughter in law, Cissy Smith; Grandson, Chris Dyer; Brothers and Sisters Little Bill, Wilson, Zelma, Ollie and Mary. She is survived by her children; Jenny (Ronnie) Coffman, Benny Dyer, Glenda (Rick) Johnson, Bill (Tina) Dyer, Connie (Alvis) Coffman, C.G. Dyer, Ted (Donna) Dyer, Peanut (Kim) Dyer, Greg (Jill) Dyer and daughter-in-law Joyce Dyer; Sister Bobbie Jane Thomas; 27 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many she claimed and loved as her own. Pallbearers: Jeremy, Eric, Brian, Justin, Bear, Chris, David, Nathan, Luke and Tyson. The family would like to thank Gentiva hospice for their wonderful care and compassion during her last days. The family would also like to thank her neighbors, Keith Brantley and Earl and Phyllis Emory for always watching out for her. Visitation will be held at Trinity Funeral Home 5:00 -7:30 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023, with service to follow officiated by Reverend Eddie Muncey and music by Tony and Becky Crawford.
