Dorena Clay Nicley-age 86 of Washburn passed away peacefully Saturday, May 27, 2023 at her home. She was a member of Mt. Eager Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Bill and Annie Clay; husband, Hubert Nicley; daughters, Kaye Nicley and Janice Nicley. Several brothers and sisters.

Survivors: husband of 32 years, John Earl Nicley; children, David Nicley and wife, Phoebe; Charlene Bailey; Vickie Dyer; Trisha Sexton and husband, Bill. Brother, Verlin “Sheriff” Clay and wife, Geneva; sister, Ilene Ryburn and husband, Tom. Five Grandchildren, Chris Nicley and wife, Carolyn, Brad Nicley and wife, Stephanie, Jason Lindsey and wife, Christy, Chad Bolden and wife, Becky, Bethany Winstead and husband, Drew. 18 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Courtney, Kaytlyn, Isaiah, Mahayley, Braylon, Lylah, Emylynn, Carolyne, Dixie, Sadie, Corbin, Marlie, Brea, Briley, Aiden, Willow and Dawson.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2023 with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Monday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Mike Viles, Rev. Gary Donehew officiating with music by Damon Seal and Tammy Nicley. Interment 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. Tuesday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Chris Nicley, Brad Nicley, Jason Lindsey, Chad Bolden, Drew Winstead, Isaiah Lindsey. Honorary Pallbearers: Jesse Coffman, Jordan Stephens and her nephews.
