Veterans Auxiliary Organizes

Calling all chefs, cooks, and volunteers of all ages – please step forward!! The first organizational meeting of the Union County Veterans Auxiliary will be on Monday February 5 from 5:00-6:00 in downstairs of the Veterans Building. This building is located behind the ball field and the Sheriff’s office at 140 Veterans St.

The goal of this first meeting is to organize Union County citizens to help provide free meals for our Veterans who served during Vietnam, Iraqi Freedom, Korea, and the War on Terror in Grenada, Afghanistan and other Mideast countries. Meals are planned monthly before their 7:00 meeting on the first Monday of every month.

The time commitment is not big, volunteers will take turns preparing and serving the meals from 6:00-6:45, it does not require a 2-year commitment, and is designed to support those who gave so much. Please come to this meeting with ideas, thoughts or just plain enthusiasm! For questions, contact Debbie Boeck (954) 295-3007 or BoeckDebbie@gmail.com. Remember: Monday. February 5. 5:00. Look forward to meeting you!
