Union County Health Department Press Release
The Union County Health Department will be distributing cloth masks Wednesday, May 27th, from 11:00 a.m. –1:00 p.m. in front of Luttrell Elementary School. Individuals can pick up the number needed for their household. These masks should not be used on any child under two years of age, anyone who has trouble breathing, or anyone who could not remove the mask without assistance. These are not medical masks and they should not be used for medical or commercial use.
The Union County Health Department encourages wearing a cloth face mask or facial covering when in public to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Cloth face masks are not a substitute for social and physical distancing. Continue to keep six feet between yourself and others even when wearing a face mask.
The Union County Health Department at 4335 Maynardville Hwy, Maynardville, TN37807 will also be distributing cloth masks M-F 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. while supplies last. You can call the Union County Health Department at 865-992-3867 for more information.
