New to the Union County Farmers Market is NACHO BISNEZ street food cuisine. Here you can find (for the first time in Maynardville) authentic Mexican food. The tacos and guac look really tasty! The Farmers Market is open 10am-1pm every Saturday in the parking lot next to Wilson Park (by the High School). Stop by and check out this unique street food.
Make a visit next week and see if you would rather purchase your weekly produce, meats, and other goods from your Farmers Market.

Something new happening for the Farmers Market is the new market place that is being built by the county. On the opposite side of the high school you may have noticed some construction going on—This is for the advancement of your Farmers Market. Mayor Bailey and others working for the improvement of the farmers market applied for a grant which was approved and now a facility is being built specifically for the Farmers Market. This will especially help farmers in the unloading process (getting produce from their truck) they will have better access to their tables. Additionally, the farmers will not need to set up or take down a tent as they have been. New restrooms are being added, as well as a kitchen in the new facility. There will be better access for the shoppers as well.

The Farmers Market is not just a place to buy good quality foods, but a place where the community can come together to support each other, have a nice neighborly chat, and to build up our community. Stop by your local Farmers Market this week!
