UCBPA Seeks Nominees for Man & Woman 2017

UCBPA Seeks Nominees for Man & Woman 2017

Nominations are now open for Union County Business & Professional Association Man & Woman of 2017. Anyone in Union County may make a nomination. Nominees shall be residents of Union County or gainfully employed in Union County or a current member of UCBPA. Nominees may perform service as a result of their job or as volunteers and demonstrate good citizenship for others to emulate.

The final decision will be made by a committee consisting of a member of the clergy, a current Union County elected official, an active or retired Union County educator, a current UCBPA member, and a current UCBPA director. Committee members rate nominees on the basis of community service, and the impact of the service on economic development or quality of life.

Nomination forms are available at the end of this article, at Union County banks and at ORNL in Food City, or by emailing Cindy Wyrick: wyrickc@ucps.org. Nomination forms must be received by October 24.

Honorees will be announced at the UCBPA Banquet on November 11. Father Steve Pawelk and Ms. Bonnie Peters, Man and Woman of 2016, will present the awards.

Tickets for the Annual Banquet will go on sale October 1. Tickets will be available from all Board members and at Maynardville Public Library, the Trustee's Office, and at Commercial Bank
