UCBPA seeks nominees for Man and Woman of 2020

Union County Business and Professional Association is seeking nominees for the Man and Woman of 2020, and the public is invited to participate. If you know of a person who is a resident of Union County or gainfully employed Union County, you may want to send the name, the reasons for the nomination, your name, and your phone number to Shannon DeWitt by email to sdewitt@utk.edu or by mail to UCB&PA, PO Box 696, Maynardville, TN 37807. Nominations are due by October 20, 2020.

The nominee should demonstrate the characteristics of good citizenship for others to emulate. Nominees will be rated mostly on the basis of community service, impact of the service on economic development or quality of life, and the length of service. Membership in UCB&PA is not required but may be used to break a tie or determine eligibility if the nominee is a non-resident.

Honorees will be announced at the 30th UCB&PA Annual Banquet on November 20, 2020, at Hubbs Grove Fellowship Hall and will be catered by Pete's Place. Proceeds from a live auction will benefit the UCB&PA Scholarship Program. Tickets are available at Commercial Bank, the Union County Trustee, UT Extension Union County, and at the October and November UCB&PA Meetings for $35 each.

Last year's honorees were Melanie Dykes and Gary England.
