UCBPA to host scholarship golf tourney

Are you looking for a reason to play golf?
Union County Business & Professional Association (UCBPA) will hold its 26th Scholarship Benefit Golf Classic on Saturday, June 27, at Three Ridges Golf Course at 1 p.m.
UCBPA Charities, Inc. administers the event that has enabled more than 110 Union County graduates to benefit from post high school education and has awarded more than $107,000 in scholarships. Each year UCBPA offers three scholarships, including the Jeffreys Academic Scholarship, the Career & Technical Scholarship and the Service Scholarship. Recipients for 2020 are Savannah Jones, Alexander Padgett, and Kennedy Hill.
Food City and Union County Education Association are major sponsors of the tournament, and Collins Insurance Agency provides the prize for the Putting Contest.
A team of four can enter for $300. Team prizes paid in gift cards include: 1st- $500, 2nd - $300, 3rd - $100. Individual awards are for: putting contest, longest drive and closest to the pin. Door prizes, goody bags, beverages and lunch are provided.
Gather a team or sponsor a hole and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air the tournament offers while staying safe with only you and the people you know on any one green at a time, while helping some young people realize their dreams.
