UCBPA to host drive-in prayer breakfast

UCBPA Prayer Breakfast

Union County Business & Professional Association will host its annual Prayer Breakfast as a drive-in event at Milan Baptist Church on Good Friday, April 2.
Pastor Jody Winstead will offer the prayer and the message. The choir will provide music. Members of the church will direct the parking.
Tindell's Farm House Bakery will offer a modified breakfast of juice or water, sausage-egg casserole, and a slice of honey bun cake for $10.
President Martin Shafer will welcome everyone and thank the sponsors. Everyone will need to stay in their cars and tune their radio to the announced station. There is no bathroom. The parking lot will open at 8:30 a.m., the program will start at 8:50 and conclude by 9:30. Tickets for the box breakfast need to be purchased in advance by RSVP on the website, www.ucbpatn.com or by emailing Gail Corum at gailcorum@bellsouth.com or by calling Debbie at (865) 992-7247. Sponsorships are available as follows: Gold-$100-10 tickets, Silver-$50-5 tickets and may be purchased through Gail or Debbie. Tammie Hill and Shannon DeWitt are co-chairing the event.
The Prayer Breakfast funds five charitable contributions as well as contributing to the UCBPA Charities, Inc. for scholarships to meritorious graduating seniors. Charitable contributions will be paid to the following in 2021: Union County 4H, Union County Lions Club, Friends of Maynardville Public Library, Union County Senior Center, Union County Children's Charities-Under the Tree and Union County Public Schools Music Program.
