UC 4-H Poster Contest celebrates creativity

The 2025 Union County 4-H Poster Contest brought together the creativity and talents of local youth with an impressive 70 posters submitted by students across the county. This annual event serves as a platform for youth to showcase their artistic abilities.
To determine the Top 10 posters, all entries were posted online for a Facebook contest. Community members were encouraged to vote for their favorite designs by liking the posts. The posters with the most likes earned a spot in the Top 10. Once the Top 10 posters were determined, they were posted on Facebook for community members to support their favorite designs by liking them. The post with the most likes was awarded the “People’s Choice” title. This year, Reed Reno from Big Ridge Elementary School earned the honor with his outstanding design.
The Top 10 Poster Winners for 2025 are as follows:
1. Max Thomas – Maynardville Elementary School
2. Reed Reno – Big Ridge Elementary School
3. Caiden Blankenship –Luttrell Elementary School
4. Priscilla Stokely –Homeschool
5. Camlyn Cooke –Big Ridge Elementary School
6. Brantley King –Horace Maynard Middle School
7. Dahlia Powell –Paulette Elementary School
8. Korie Britt –Maynardville Elementary School
9. Summer Johnson –Paulette Elementary School
10. Saige Dykes –Sharps Chapel Elementary School
All Top 10 winners were recognized for their achievements and received certificates to commemorate their success. Their posters are currently on display at the Union County Courthouse, where community members can view the incredible talent of our 4-H youth.
Additionally, three posters that emphasized agriculture are being showcased at the Union Farmers Co-Op in Maynardville. These posters, created by Savannah Lee (PES), Jessee Gibson (LES), and Harper Lacey (PES), highlight the importance of agriculture in Union County and beyond.
To further celebrate their excellence, three posters were selected to compete at the 2025 4-H Eastern Region Poster Contest:

• Saige Dykes (SCES)
