Spice Spritz

Have you ever tasted a Spice Spritz cookie? Try this one, it has an autumn flavor.

1 cup butter, softened (no substitute)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice

In large bowl with mixer at low speed, beat butter and sugar until blended. Increase speed to high and beat until light and creamy, occasionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula. Next, at low speed, beat in egg and vanilla until blended. Gradually beat in flour and pumpkin pie spice just until blended. Spoon dough into cookie press or large decorating bag fitted with large star tip. Onto ungreased baking sheet, pipe dough into rosettes 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 F. for 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly brown around the edges. Let cookies remain on baking sheet about 2 minutes to cool slightly. Transfer to newspapers to cool. Store in tightly covered container.
