Union County’s own 10-year-old Reed Reno has excelled in the 2024 show season, achieving impressive results in the Tennessee Swine Show Circuit (TSSC) for 4-H swine exhibitions. Representing Union County across multiple divisions, Reed’s dedication and skill have set him apart in competitive categories.
In the Summer Circuit Crossbred Division, Reed placed third in the Junior Division, showcasing his commitment and hard work. He also achieved a significant first place win in East Tennessee in the TN Bred Crossbred Division. Additionally, Reed placed fifth in the Junior Division for the Purebred Division. Adding to these accolades, Reed is especially proud of his second-place finish statewide in Skillathon.
As a Big Ridge 5th-grader, Reed’s 2024 successes underscore the dedication and passion that define Union County 4-H. As he continues to grow and represent his county, Reed sets a strong example for younger members in the 4-H program, exemplifying the potential that can be reached through commitment and enthusiasm for agriculture.
Reed would like to extend a special thank you to his Lord and Savior, his parents Dustin and Amy Reno, and the many people and organizations who have supported him throughout the season, including Tan Your Hide Leather, TK Farms, Rue Farms, Austin Helton and everyone who has helped him at shows and with his raffles. Their support has been invaluable to his journey and success.
Congratulations to Reed Reno on an outstanding swine show season, and best of luck as he continues his 4-H journey.
