Red Devil softball opens

On March 8, the Lady Red Devils got the season off to a good start with a solid win over Claiborne County with a score of 3-0. They got hits and runners on at the right time to push across the runs needed and solid pitching from Aleyia Satterfield to shut out the Lady Bulldogs.
Lady Devils win over Clinton
The Horace Maynard Lady Red Devils started off their season with a hard-fought win over Clinton Middle School. It was a home game on the evening of March 9. The game started off with Emery Bales pitching and Teagan Monroe catching behind the plate.
It was a tight game all night. Bales surrendered five runs but in the last inning it was 4-5 with two people on base for the Lady Devils when 8th grade slugger Ava Biggs hit a walk-off double to bring home the big win for the Lady Devils with a final score of 6-5. The Lady Devils record is 2-0.
Lady Red Devils blank Campbell Co.
The Lady Devils traveled to Campbell County on 3/11 to face the Lady Cougars. The Lady Devils came out swinging and had another strong pitching performance by 8th grader Aleyia Satterfield to shut down the bats of Campbell County as the high-powered offense put up eight runs for a final of 8-0. Lady Red Devils record: 3-0
