Puff Pastry Pumpkins
I am always looking for a special cookie for the Fall season. Here is an easy one. Cute, too.
1 cup pumpkin puree
12 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons maple flavored syrup
2 sheets of puff pastry
3 inch pumpkin cookie cutter
In large bowl, combine pumpkin purée, brown sugar and maple flavoured syrup. Next, roll out 2 sheets of thawed frozen puff pastry. Cut out shapes using 3 inch pumpkin cutter. Spread 2 tablespoons filling over half of the pumpkin shapes. Place another pumpkin shape on top and press together to seal. To finish, brush with melted butter. Bake at 400 F. in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
