Plainview City Council Plans Ribbon Cutting
With no major business to conduct in June, the Plainview Planning Commission continued their training and discussed the various uses for the C-1 Zone that might be acceptable development for the Ailor Gap-Tazewell Pike section and the city in general.
The Plainview City Council passed on second reading # 145 Budget Amendment to purchase a tractor for approximately $14,000. In addition, the aldermen set the time for the Dollar General Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting at 9:00 am on Saturday, July 13th. The council continues to seek quotes regarding the development of the website. Finally, Chief Eddie Muncey reported that the police department has new computers and are able to be more efficient with the paperwork.
