Photography Added to Heritage Fest Art Show

The Union County Heritage Festival Fine Arts Show has added a category for photographic entries, and the UCHF Student Art Show will accept photographs.
Participants will be able to enter an original photograph pertaining to the Union County area or best exemplifying the festival theme: ”More Fiddlin' Around."
The show is a juried mixed-media exhibition open to artists 18 years of age and above and is held at the Snodderly House on Main Street in Maynardville.
The exhibition will showcase amateur artwork produced throughout our area. All work submitted must be original to the artist in idea, design, and production, and must not have been shown in a previous Union County Heritage Festival Art Show. Artists are encouraged to enter up to the maximum of three pieces.
Awards for the Fine Arts Show are Best Presentation of Festival Theme and Best of Show in each of three categories of Two-Dimensional Art, Three-Dimensional Art and Photography. Category awards also include First, Second, and Third Place. Jerry's Artarama and Union County Arts Council sponsor the awards.
All two-dimensional entries must be framed or stretched (as appropriate) and wired to hang.
Photography must be a minimum of 8” x 10" and matting and framing are encouraged but not required for photography.
The Snodderly House will also display a Professional Artist Exhibit to showcase some of the best art in East Tennessee.
All work must be delivered to the Historic Snodderly House, 720 Main St., Maynardville, on Thursday, October 3rd, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and remain until the close of the show on festival day. Artists must pick up their entries after 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 5. If you need special arrangements for delivery call Betty prior to the show at 865-992-1005.
