Parent Involvement Meeting November 3
Union County Schools invites parents, guardians and community stakeholders to a Districtwide Parent and Community Involvement Meeting on Wednesday, November 3, beginning at 5 p.m. at the the Family Resource Center and Technology building behind Maynardville Elementary School playground. Parking is in front of the building.
The goal of the family involvement program is to bridge the gap between parents, schools and the community and to improve relationships between home and school, which empowers families to become proactive in their child's education on a continuous basis.
Each district across the state of Tennessee is required by Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) to have a Districtwide Family Engagement Plan. At the meeting this plan and its requirements will be discussed. Input from attendees will help to update and approve this plan.
For more information please contact Parent and Community Engagement Facilitator, Sara Padgett Collins: cell 865-680-2991, phone 865-992-0211, email sara.collins@ucps.org. Please make plans to attend, your input is important and valued.
