Northeast Tennessee Beef Expo Scheduled for Oct. 7
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The annual Northeast Tennessee Beef Expo is scheduled for October 7 at the Northeast Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center. A day of programs will educate beef producers on the latest research and practices.
This day counts towards a portion of the Master Beef Certification. For more info on that class contact 865-992-8038. Pesticide applicator license points will be offered onsite as well.
Pre-registration for this event is required and due before 5 p.m. on September 27.
Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m. EDT. Programs will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m. The pre-registration cost is $20 per person to attend one day, but is included with the Master Beef fees if you register with the UT Extension Union County Office. Lunch is included.
The expo will include a tradeshow and lunch. The planned program topics include:

Stocking Density Profitability
Soil Corrections
Winter Feeding
Weaning
Sprayer GPS Demo
Genetics
Breeding Soundness Exams
Direct Marketing
Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program
For master beef producers, there will also be an educational session that will focus on cow-calf production and issues facing the beef industry.
