Mid-South Ag Trade Conference Feb. 24

Annually the University of Tennessee hosts the Mid-South Agricultural Trade Conference. The conference will be hosted at the Renasant Convention Center in Memphis on February 24 as a part of the Mid-South Farm and Gin Show.

The trade conference seeks to inform farmers, agribusinesses, and agricultural leaders in Tennessee and the Mid-South about the role and significance of international trade on local agricultural production, global markets and economies, as
well as increase awareness of agricultural exporting tools and resources. The program will feature experts on trade, policymakers from Washington, DC as well as State and National commodity leaders who will provide context on today’s changing trade landscape.

Program highlights include comments on international trade from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture International trade outlook, keynote address on factors influencing global agricultural trade, and a producer panel discussion of how international trade impacts row crop and livestock production.
