The Union County Lions Club held elections for officers for the 2023-24 fiscal year. Kathy Chesney, pastor at both Miller’s Chapel UMC and Irwin’s Chapel UMC, was elected president. Vice-president is Bill Sexton; Treasurer, Dr. Ronnie Mincey; Secretary, Debbie Sylvia-Gardner; and Publicity, Shirlee Grabko. The Union County Lions Club is grateful to consultant Jim McFarland for his continued guidance and assistance.
Two new Lions were inducted into the International Lions Club Union County on September 25. Both Debbie Sylvia-Gardner and Shirlee Grabko are now officially Lions.
The Union County Lions Club meets at noon on the 4th Monday of every month
except December in the back room of Hardees. All are invited to attend!
