The Latest for Earley

Hannah Kerr and Jason Earley

Union County’s own Jason Earley has made a name for himself once again; this time on the Nashville scene. Fortunately, for his fans in this area, the results are available locally.

Earley moved to Nashville after high school to attend Belmont University. A 2016 graduate of Belmont, Earley made the decision to remain in Nashville to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. He spends his days with girlfriend Hannah Kerr, leading worship at his local church, writing and producing music, and waiting tables at a downtown restaurant. He has had a few songs recorded by some up and coming artists and is excited about that. But another big break came recently.

“I co-wrote a song with Hannah that became the title track of her album, Christmas Eve in Bethlehem,” said Earley. “The song was picked up and included on Cracker Barrel’s Country Faith Christmas Album Vol. 2.”

The album is a compilation of songs recorded by Carrie Underwood, Kenny Rogers, Wynonna, Charlie Daniels, and many other well-known artists. Always a supporter of helping others, Earley is most excited for Hannah.

“It’s pretty cool to see our names mixed in with such great company,” said Earley.

Earley met Kerr in 2015 when he was filming his role in the movie Where the Fast Lane Ends.

“The writer/producer of the movie also produced Hannah’s music,” said Earley. “When he found out I attended Belmont, he suggested that Hannah and I meet. I met her on campus that same day and we were friends for a while before realizing that we wanted to date each other. She is a very special person and I am definitely in love.”

Earley and Kerr have been together for almost three years. The couple presented the song Christmas Eve in Bethlehem for the 2016 Christmas TV special put together by Brentwood Baptist Church. Earley and Kerr represented the Lockeland Springs campus with the song and video.

“Who knew that the song would find a use outside of that project,” said Earley. “We are both thankful for that and we know God gave us the song for a purpose.”

Cracker Barrel’s Country Faith Christmas Album Vol. 2 is available online and at Cracker Barrel stores.
