KidsSight Outreach

A great deal of childhood early learning occurs through the eyes. Healthy vision is important for children’s early development. Lions Club KidSight’s screenings detect vision problems early. The program helps parents get their children treatment before it’s too late to avoid the permanent vision loss that can result from some eye conditions. By ensuring kids have healthy vision, we can prevent what could be a lifetime of vision loss and help children be ready to learn in school.

Lions KidSight is a nation-wide program that brings Lions clubs across the country together to ensure our children receive eye screenings and follow-up care when needed.

The Lions Kidsight Vision Team will be at Big Ridge, Maynardville and Paulette Elementary schools on the morning of Tuesday September 26, and Sharps Chapel and Luttrell Elementary on Wednesday morning September 27 for all pre-K and kindergarten students. Lions KidSight vision screenings are fast, touchless and free. You can contact your school office for further information about the screenings.
