Heritage festival call for quilts

The 18th Union County Heritage Festival encourages all area quilters to enter the Union County Heritage Festival Quilt Show on October 1 at the Union County Museum and is sponsored by the Union County Historical Society.
Intricately crafted ribbons are given in a variety of categories. A special recognition is awarded for the Best Heritage Quilt, the quilt that best exemplifies the festival theme or the general heritage of Union County. The 2022 theme is “Follow your Heart” and is a tribute to Carl Smith and the many love songs he recorded.
All quilters are invited to bring their quilts to the Union County Museum on Thursday, September 29, between 1:30 and 6:00 p.m. Ellen Perry and Patricia Campbell will be at the Museum to accept entries.
Quilts will be judged and ready for viewing on Saturday during festival hours of 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
For additional information or questions you may have about the quilt show and how to enter your quilts call Ellen Perry at 865-992-4631, text her at (865) 230-4652, or by email at: jperry4631@comcast.net.
You do not have to pre-register your entries, but if you would like to do this ahead of time, forms will be available at the museum and may be picked up there. Forms may also be found on the Heritage Festival website: www.UnionCountyHeritageFestival.com and the festival Facebook page. Registration forms may be emailed to jperry4631@comcast.net, brought to the museum, or mailed to Ellen Perry, 126 Firebird Lane, Maynardville, TN 37807. The museum is located at 3824 Maynardville Highway in Maynardville.
Thank you to all our quilt participants who bring quilts each year and make the beautiful display at the museum one of the most exciting events at the Heritage Festival.
