UT Extension Union County and Union County Business & Professional Association are teaming up to "Hay Bale Union County". The Hay Bale Contest is open to all businesses, organizations, groups, and schools. Decorate your business or set up a display that is viewable from a roadway. Entries will be judged on eye appeal, use of space & materials, creativity, and adherence to theme. The theme of the 2017 Heritage Festival is “Come Here, Come Home.”

You must register your hay bale by completing the entry form below. Preferred entry is by email, although entry forms may be mailed or submitted in person at the UT Extension Union County Office 3925 Maynardville Hwy, Maynardville, TN 37807. Registration deadline is Friday, September 29th. Hay bales must be decorated by Wednesday, October 3rd at 12 noon. Judging will begin on Wednesday, October 3, at 1:00 pm. Participants must provide all decorating materials. No hay bales will be provided.

Results will be posted on UT Extension Union County Facebook at 4 pm on Thursday, October 4th. So, get creative and colorful with those hay bales. Think up a wholesome, family friendly theme without any political message for everyone who will come here to come home during the Heritage Festival on October 7.
