These soft and chewy cookies are easy to make. Fancy them up with a chocolate kiss pressed in the center of the ball. A diffferent flavor of cake mix can be used. It's up to you.
Gooey Cake Mix Cookies
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
18 ounce chocolate cake mix
In large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add chocolate cake mix. Mix well. Dough will be sticky. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight. With a rounded teaspoon of dough, roll into a ball. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 F. for 9 to 11 minutes or until tops are crackled. Cool on pan for 2 minutes. Remove to cooling rack. Makes about 8 dozen small cookies or 4-1/2 dozen large ones.
