Faye Hardin's 'Thunder Road' receives Best Heritage in festival art show

Best Heritage Award in the 2022 Union county Heritage Festival Art Show is Faye Hardin's Thunder Road.

Not only is Union County known for its country music legends, but also for having a stretch of the famous Thunder Road. Thunder Road was definitely on Faye Hardin's mind when she created the painting that won Best Heritage in the 2022 Union County Heritage Festival Art Show. This was Faye's second year to receive the Best Heritage Award.
The art show had 61 entries in two-dimensional and photography from as far away as Atlanta, Georgia, with the rest from Union, Knox, and Hamblen Counties in Tennessee. Betty Bullen coordinated the event and invited Aurora Harrison Bull to display some of her professional paintings. Betty also showcased her own gallery painting of Union County's Country Music Legends, Roy Acuff, Chet Atkins, Carl Smith, Lois Johnson, and Kenny Chesney. The Myers Building provided more than enough space to display all of these creative works.
Receiving Best of Show was Deborah Stroud's painting of an autumn scene of a rowboat resting in a secluded cove. Placing in two-dimensional art was: 1st Place Lisa Crist, 2nd Place Sherry Railey, and 3rd Place Shirley Keaton. In the photography category, 1st Place went to Barry Corum, 2nd Place to Sonya Corum and 3rd Place to Frank Sharp.
Thirty of Betty Bullen's collectible prints were sold to garner $600 for next year's festival. The 2022 Heritage Collectible Print is available at the Winery at Seven Springs and Janet's Hair and Nail Salon or directly from Betty online at http//:bettybullenart.com.
