Fall Festival at Fellowship Christian Church

Fall Festival at Fellowship Christian Church

What a great time we had at the Fall Festival of Fellowship Christian Church on Saturday, October 14, 2017. This year the festival featured gospel singing on the front porch, antique cars, trucks, and tractors, crafts and games, a photo booth, bounce house, face painting, delicious food and lots of fun and fellowshipping.
The festival began at 3:00 pm with an opening prayer, then J.T. Russell in his opening statement wanted everyone to know that everything at the festival was free. He said, “We don’t charge anyone for anything here, we don’t sell anything while we are here, and we don’t pay anyone anything. All the food is free and everyone that is here is because they want to be here. We want everyone to enjoy fellowshipping with one another.”

The gospel singing on the front porch was excellent. I am just amazed at the great talent God has given His people. The singers had such beautiful voices and the musicians played with professional talent. We want to thank all of them for their performance that they were willing to share with us. This has been one of the main attractions at the festival even before the church was completed.

We were very pleased to have all the antique cars, trucks, and tractors. They were beautiful and remind us that looking at our past is a good way to help us shape our future. We want to give a special thanks to all the owners that have taken the initiative of preserving those valuable portions of our past.
The festival offered many activities for the children to participate in. The bounce house and games are always popular events for the children and the children at heart. They also enjoyed making crafts and slime. Many had their face painted to show off in their pictures in the photo booth. I believe some of the adults supervising the children had as much fun as the children did.

The ladies of the church done a great job working the food tent and providing us with the good food we had. This year’s festival offered some of the best desserts you can find. Usually they don’t get the credit they deserve, so thank you ladies for all you do. I know you came early and set the tables and stayed late to make sure everything was taken care of and cleaned up properly. We appreciate all you do.

We appreciate everyone that came and I hope you enjoyed the festival as much as I did.

If you don’t have a home church, we invite you to come worship with us.
