Double Fudge Sauce
I prefer recipes for anything chocolate to be made with cocoa. I always have a box of cocoa on hand, chocolate not so much. This recipe makes 2 1/2 cups. Enough for the gang.
DOUBLE FUDGE SAUCE
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup sifted cocoa
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 cup evaporated milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Mix sugar and cocoa in heavy 1 1/2 quart saucepan. Stir in water and syrup until smooth. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full, rolling boil. Stir and boil for 3 minutes or until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the evaporated milk and vanilla. Chill. Serve warm or cold over ice cream, cake, or pudding. Makes 2 1/2 cups.
