Director Clay speaks to UCBPA
Greg Clay at the UCBPA meeting last month
Greg Clay, Director of Union County Schools, addressed members of the Union County Business & Professional Association in February.
“This is day 15, so don't ask me anything too difficult,” he joked.
Clay praised the employees and many of the programs of Union County Public Schools. He explained the need for a new middle school.
He noted that meetings are being held to locate a Tennessee School of Applied Technology (TCAT) beside or near the greenhouse at UCHS. He closed by saying that he was humbled to be the new director and his greatest satisfaction is being out in the schools to witness the student learning firsthand.
UCBPA will vote on several by-laws revisions at its meeting on March 14. Congressman Tim Burchett will be the speaker. The public is invited to attend.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday at Li'l Jo's at noon. The membership drive continues until March 31, and dues are $35 for the year.
