Call for artists of all ages

3D Art from the 2023 Heritage Festival

The Union County Heritage Festival Art Show will be held Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Historic Snodderly House, 721 Main Street, in Maynardville. Park at the house or the parking lot across from the Art Show. On Festival Day, parking is also available at Wilson Park where visitors can ride the big yellow bus free shuttle to the Art Show. New this year is a Youth Art Exhibit.
The show is a juried mixed-media exhibition open to artists of all ages. The exhibition is intended to showcase artwork produced throughout our area. There is no entry fee.
Cash awards and ribbons will be given for Best Heritage, Best of Show, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category: two-dimensional works, three-dimensional works, and photography. Ribbons will be given to Honorable Mentions. If there are several fabric entries, this will be a separate category under 3D and will also receive ribbons for recognition. Ten Outstanding Artists will be recognized with gift certificates. The Youth Art category will follow the same guidelines and receive ribbons for recognition.
Guidelines:
All work must be original to the artist in idea, design, and production.
All work must not have been shown in a previous Union County Heritage Festival Art Show.
All Two-Dimensional work must be framed or stretched (as appropriate) and wired to hang. Work not wired to hang may be exempted from the show.
Photography must be a minimum of 8x10 inches. Matting and framing are encouraged but not required for photography. However, framed or stretched work tends to place higher.
A maximum of three pieces will be accepted from each artist. Entries composed of multiple pieces must represent a single image that cannot be considered or sold separately.
A signed, completed entry form must be submitted with artwork.
Each piece of artwork must have the artist name, phone number, title of the work, value of the work, and price of the work if it is offered for sale attached to the back.
All work must be left in the show until the close of the show at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 5.
