The Union County Lions Club annual concert on May 18, this year featuring The Poet Voices and The Browders, has had a major change. Through an unforeseeable and unexpected circumstance, the Browders will be unavailable for this concert – that’s the Bad News! The Good News is that the Poet Voices are still onboard to perform for you AND the ticket prices have changed dramatically! All tickets now are General Admission (NO reserved seating) and are $20 each!! Tickets can be purchased at the Kitchen Design Center at 2945 Maynardville Hwy. .(Yes! The same place you can purchase your Union County Opry tickets!) and they will be available at the door. The first 200 people to arrive at the concert will get a FREE CD from the award-winning Poet Voices! The UCHS Band will be performing onstage that night as well. This concert, so close to Memorial Day, will focus on Patriotic and Gospel music. Proceeds from this concert go to fund free eye exams and glasses for Union County residents who are without eye insurance and who cannot afford glasses.
