5 Sister Variety Opens in Maynardville

Stephanie, daughter of owner Adrian Hamilton, working at 5 Sister Variety in Maynardville, Tennessee

Maynardville welcomes a new business, 5 Sister Variety, to the community. Adrian Hamilton, along with daughter Stephanie, recently opened the storefront in the Food City Plaza. Upon entering the store, you can be sure a smile and a willingness to help awaits.

Adrian says, “My slogan has always been with my children, ‘Deals and Steals’, so that is what we would like to provide.” She says you will find a wide variety of items with a few clothing items in the same size and color, so that everybody will still have their own unique look. They stock women’s, plus size, children and men’s clothing with additional items such as makeup, jewelry, pet, household and seasonal items.

Adrian and her family moved to Union County in 2002. She and her husband have six children, four over 18. They realize how hard it is to have a family and the expenses incurred and wants to offer good deals to the community. She has been a stay at home mom, PTO member and worked alongside her husband in his heating and air business. She says, that even with this new endeavor, she will continue to help in the community wherever she can; because that is something she is passionate about.

As their last child began middle school this year, Adrian knew it was time to find something for herself to invest in. Since she loves working in a social environment and meeting new people, she thought a storefront would be a great fit. As for the name, 5 Sister Variety, that came from the four daughters plus herself, the variety part because she wanted to offer a diverse stock of inventory.

The couple’s fourth child, Stephanie, who recently graduated, is helping in the store with her mom. In fourth grade, Stephanie was diagnosed with Autism. She has a stern work ethic and wants people to know that even though you may be different, you can still work hard and succeed at what you do. The intelligent young lady wishes to open her own animal daycare someday.

Visit the girls in their store at 4356 Maynardville Highway. Store hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00am to 8:00pm, Wednesday from 10:00am to 5:00pm and every other Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. They will be closed on Sundays. Adrian says, “We believe, not only is it a day for our Lord, but for our family.” Check out Facebook @5SisterVariety where you can find specials and a link to the up and coming website.
