The tennis program is growing! Last year saw only 7 total players with two boys and five girls. But the 2024 roster more than doubled to15 total players, seven boys and eight girls. The Boys Team is Dalton Schreieck (Sr.), Jace Walker (Sr.), Jaxon Bailey (Fresh.), Lathan Garner (Soph.), Braylon Graves (Soph.), Max Corum (Fresh.), and Zachary Clark (Fresh.). On the Girls Team is Ava Tiller (Jr.), Travyn Farmer (Jr.), Janae Chapell (Sr.), Ella Branscomb (Fresh.), Hannah Groot (Jr.), Ashlyn Tiller (Fresh.), Nola Chesney (Soph.), and Evelyn Gentry (Sr.).

As of mid March, the boys team was undefeated at 4-0 with wins over Cumberland Gap, Pigeon Forge, Halls, and Claiborne. The girls team is learning and greatly improving but currently has not managed to overtake their more experienced opponents.

Lathan, Braylon, Max, and Zach are undefeated in singles matches. In doubles, Dalton and Jace as well as Jaxon and Zach are unbeaten. In girls singles, Ashlyn, Nola, and Evelyn have posted 3 wins and 1 loss. Evelyn and Nola have won teice and lost once in girls doubles.

According to Head coach Mike Johnson, all of the team members have a terrific attitude, are eager to learn, and moreover are excellent students. All are are having fun and working hard to improve. Ella Johnson is the Assistant Coach. Both coaches are experiencing their second year of coaching tennis.
